As a long time baseball fan, and an overly devoted Colorado Rockies fan, I feel like it is imperative to educate everyone on how special this team is and encourage everyone, whether a Rockies fan or not, to go attend games.
Reasons to go to a Rockies baseball game:
1) Ballpark nachos may possibly be the most delicious thing on the whole planet. There is nothing as good as a tortilla chip dipped in in cheesy nacho sauce topped off with a jalapeno!
2) While in my opinion not quite as good, having a ballpark hot dog is still a delicacy. Only in a ballpark does a hot dog taste so satisfying.
3) While food is all well and good, the real reason you are there is to watch some baseball, and the Rockies are among the best at playing good quality and exciting baseball.
4) You get to dance to all the music that is played both when the batters walk up to the plate and when the Rockies blast a home run. (Dancing is optional of course, but entirely much more fun then sitting down)
5) The Rockies play their best baseball when they are playing at home in Coors Field. As of this posting, they have won 30 of their 45 games at home. Thats a 66% chance that they will win when you go to the game.
6) Tickets are relatively cheap when compared to other ballparks in the nation. Sitting in the Rockpile cost $4. As the average game is 3 hours long, thats boils down to $1.25/hour that you would be paying for a nights entertainment. Thats hard to beat!
7) It is a fun environment to take someone on a casual date. Even if the Rockies lose, you'll still probably have had a good night
8) The fountains in center field shoot up when the Rockies hit a home run!
9) If you're sitting in the upper deck on an evening game, their are some beautiful sunsets to take in.
So get on out there and root root root for the ROCKIES!
